Keeping Children Safe and Healthy
Little Barn Owls places your child's safety as our principal objective within all our operations, procedures and activities. We understand the importance of finding the right nursery for your child, so safety and security are quite understandably going to be of prime importance in your decision.
Our overriding objective is to provide a safe, secure and happy environment; so we make no compromise when it comes to securing your child's safety whilst they are in our care. We set extremely high standards with children being supervised at all times by caring, experienced and fully trained staff inside and outside the nursery rooms. So you can feel totally confident when your child is with us, we operate the most stringent access policy, and ensure that only nominated people will be allowed to collect your child. In addition, our staff monitor all arrivals and departures from the nursery, with any authorised visitors being asked to sign in before being allowed entry.
Safe premises:
- Large, secure enclosed garden with padlocked gates
- Safety glass to all accessible glass
- Seperate, temperature-controlled hot water supply to taps in children's toilets, preventing scalding
- No radiators, underfloor heating and high wall heaters preventing burns
- Seperate nappy changing rooms and children and adult toilets
- Safe and hygenic floor and work surfaces
- Fire alarms, smoke and heat detector systems and emergency lighting for rapid escape
- External lighting, and intruder/burglar alarms
- Daily risk assessments of whole premises
- Toys and furniture sterilised daily
